Vakkaru runs 113 villas across beach and overwater categories — the signature unit is the Over Water Villa with a private deck and outdoor bathtub facing the lagoon. Larger one-, two- and four-bedroom Beach Pool Residences sit deeper into the forested island.

Dining

The line-up has six restaurants and bars, anchored by Onu Marche all-day buffet, Olive (Italian), Isoletta (overwater Italian), Sea Salt (overwater seafood) and Lagoon Bar.

Spa & Family

The Merana Spa runs the wellness side; the Parrotfish Kids' Club is a noted feature, regularly cited as one of the strongest children's programmes in the Maldives.

Logistics

Transfer is a 25-minute seaplane from Velana International Airport, or a domestic flight to Dharavandhoo plus 25-minute speedboat. The resort sits inside the UNESCO Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve.
