Coco Bodu Hithi

A 98-villa resort on Bodu Hithi island in North Malé Atoll, the flagship of the Maldivian-owned Coco Collection group. Open since 2005, with the long thatched-roof overwater chain that defines its silhouette.

The MT Verdict

A reliable, locally-owned mid-tier-luxury option with a long overwater chain and a short speedboat. Coco Collection's flagship — not flashy, but consistent.

The Villas

Coco Bodu Hithi runs 98 villas across two distinct sides of the island. Beach and Island Villas (44) sit under the palms, while overwater categories (54) extend along a long jetty — Water Villas, Escape Water Villas with private pools, and the multi-bedroom Coco Residences at the end.

Dining

The line-up runs to seven restaurants and bars, including Aqua (overwater fine dining), Air (Asian wok), Stars (rooftop), Latitude (all-day) and the beach-side bars.

Spa & Reef

Coco Spa runs the wellness side. Bodu Hithi has a strong house reef accessible from the overwater villas; the broader North Malé Atoll has dependable diving and a manageable transfer time for short trips.

Logistics

Transfer is a 35-minute speedboat from Velana International Airport. The resort is the flagship of the Coco Collection, the Maldivian-owned group that also operates Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu in Baa Atoll.
