One&Only Reethi Rah, the all-villa ultra-luxury resort in North Malé Atoll, has promoted Michal Zemlicka to the role of Executive Assistant Manager, Food & Beverage — further strengthening the resort's commitment to operational excellence and exceptional leadership.
In his new role, Michal will act as an advisor to resort management and ownership, drive concept developments, and lead strategic F&B activations and experiences to optimise revenues.
Since joining the resort in November 2023 as Director of Food & Beverage, Michal has elevated operations through strong leadership that emphasises talent development. He has driven PR through a wide programme of pop-up events and collaborations with Michelin-star chefs and mixologists from the World's 50 Best Bars.
Michal also played an instrumental role in the development and reopening of TAPASAKE, the resort's signature overwater Japanese-Mediterranean restaurant. His focus on guest satisfaction has positively impacted the resort's results while elevating the quality of service across all restaurants and bars.
His efforts in overseeing the resort's events and entertainment programmes have continued to position One&Only Reethi Rah's iconic Easter and Festive celebrations as among the best in the Maldives.
Michal brings over a decade of hospitality experience, having previously worked at Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa and Furaveri Maldives. Prior to the Maldives, he held positions in Bali, Dubai, Australia, and his home country of Slovakia.
The promotion reflects One&Only Reethi Rah's ongoing commitment to nurturing internal talent and delivering unrivalled culinary experiences at the Forbes Five-Star resort.
