Flying from London to Malé. Business class is much more expensive. The seaplane to the resort is only 30 minutes. Is it worth splurging on business just for the long-haul part?

The seaplane experience is genuinely spectacular regardless of how you arrive. Business class is worth it for the long-haul leg (London, Sydney, New York) but the short regional hops from Dubai or Singapore are more manageable in economy. Factor in: most premium resorts include the speedboat or seaplane transfer in your room rate. The real question is whether you'll be too tired from economy to enjoy the seaplane — if the answer is yes, business class pays for itself in the experience.
